Do you like your job?
Answer 1: No. / No, I don't.(3-4
Answer 2: No. Because the working hours are too long.(5分)
Answer 3: No. It's too stressful, the working hours are too long – about ten hours a day – and the pay's much too low. I really want to find a better job. (6分)
Answer 4: No, I don't(直接回答问题). It's too stressful(形容词的使用), the working hours are too long – about ten hours a day – and the pay's much too low(解释原因). I really want tofind a better job(总结)(7分)
Answer 5: No, I don't, to tell you the truth. There's virtually(高分副词的运用) nothing I like about it. For example(举例,扩展答案), it's too stressful, the working hours are too long – about ten hours a day – and the pay's much too low. So, as you can imagine(短语), I really want to find a better job(总结).
问题:Would you say your hometown is a good place to live?
A: Not exactly(委婉的否定). It's not abad place to live because(介绍原因) it's clean and it's close to the ocean and there are quite a few new companies there so most people can find a job(复杂句型), but I really would prefer to live somewhere else because ... I don't know ... maybe it's just a bit boring for people of my age. For example(举例), there'svery little night life and there's nothing much to do on the weekends.

Do you think people prefer to read books or magazines?
Sample answer:
Well, I can’t say this for sure, and I might be generalizing, but a lot of people probably prefer to read magazines. I’m only saying that because the society has sort of advanced into a more technological one, and I feel that people have become accustomed to brief and instantaneous information. I mean, like nowadays people use social media all the time, where information always appears in a short and extracted form. Now this does save a lot of time, but it also leads to a lack of patience of reading a long book these days. That’s why I suppose magazines are perhaps more preferable to read.
Vocabularyadvance /əd’vɑːns/ 发展technological /teknə’lɒdʒɪk(ə)l/ 科技的be accustomed to /ə’kʌstəmd/ 习惯于brief /brif/ 简短的instantaneous /,ɪnst(ə)n’teɪnɪəs/ 即时的social media /社交媒体/extracted /iks’træktid/ 提取的
(以前-》现在)printed books-》iPads, kindles
例: People used to have to carry printed books while traveling, but now more and more people choose to read on iPads or kindles instead.
long stories-》short pieces of information
A genre is a particular type of literature, painting, music, film, or other art form which people consider as a class because it has special characteristics.
l 名词:page-turner(page+turn er,翻页翻到根本停不下来!)
例句:That book is a real page-turner!
l 动词:grab me from the first page(第一页就把我“抓住”了,意思立马被吸引住了,从此无法自拔)
例句:Les Miserables grabbed me from the first page.
