一忌,一遍过思想

有这样的想法的人,实在不在少数。但不得不说,这种想法实在是太天真了。试想,传说中的“gre考试词汇”(请注意,实际上是没有这个概念的,只是国人总结出来的大致范围)大约有10k-20k,按照每个单词平均5个字母来说,就有50k-100k的数据量——对于人脑来说,这是不可想象的。

来举一个例子。这些单词的字母是随机重复的,和圆周率“π”的小数部分差不多。于是工作量和你背诵5万位(至十万位)的圆周率差不多。而且,这还不算上要分析单词之间的逻辑关系,纯粹是记忆这些字母的工作量。

二忌,只记中文意思

首先你要知道,英文单词,并不是中国人的语言单元。那么,在翻译成中文的时候,不论你的水平多么高,总会有或多或少的误差。而在gre这个逻辑考试面前,这一点的误差,也许就是你一道题的得失,继而也许是你能否拿到Ad,或者Offer的差别。

然后你要知道,gre考试词汇不是背诵比赛,背它,是要理解他。比如有个单词的意思,叫做“卡其色”。这三个汉字你都认识,你要是没见过这种颜色,没人告诉你,你知道他是什么意思么所以,这样记忆,不如直接将其当做是一种颜色。

三忌,认为记忆gre词汇有尽头

理由很简单,你永远不可能背完gre出现的所有单词,所以需要不断强化。
