中考成绩将于7月1日公布，划线方案和收集卷面分复查申请也将同时进行，7月5日左右全市分三地（黄石城区、大冶、阳新）同时举行招生咨询会。
考生查询分数有两种方式，一是登录黄石教育网http://www.hssedu.cn点击“招生分数、录取查询”，二是登录湖北省高中阶段学校招生管理信息系统http://gzjd.hubzs.com.cn。
2019年黄石中考成绩继续采用A+分的模式。黄石城区、大冶、阳新各前200名呈现A，没有分数。只要考生成绩在本考区前200名，分数是A就可上本考区重点高中和所在考区任何一所普通高中。
今年中招网上填报志愿时间为7月7日至10日。我市高中阶段学校招生分四个批次：第一、二批次高中招生、第三批次五年一贯制高职和“3+2”中高职、第四批次中职技校招生。
高中招生工作按照考生志愿、招生计划和“综合评价、择优录取”的原则录取，采取网上录取的办法，严格按政策、按计划、按批次、按志愿、按考生投档分从高分到低分依次录取。整个录取工作随着7月20日第四批征集志愿录取完成，发放通知书，代表着录取结束。
