《笑猫日记》是杨红樱的经典着作之一，本文的主人公是一只会笑的猫，只要读过《淘气包马小跳》的人差不多应该知道这只猫是马小跳的表妹杜真子最喜欢的猫。这只猫的感情都是通过笑来表达。
《笑猫日记》是一部借物喻人的书，前几本把人比做动物，反映了生活中人与人的交往。从《樱桃沟的春天》到《一头灵魂出窍的猪》写出了万物都有情，十分感人。《球球老老鼠》借物喻人，写出了因果相报，至始至终都不能违背良心，善待他人就是善待自己。最后两本，写出了人要善待动物，动物也是有感情的。
读完这些书，我明白了我们要善待动物。
