I met a girl called Sue on the Intemet.We are of the same age.And we talked happily with each other. So we decided to write to each other daily, of course through e-mail.We can write down what we feel and what we think and then forward to each other.We also try to write in English. She once lived in the United States with her parents, so she can speak native English.In this way, we are getting closer and closer. And furthermore both of our English has improved quickly and greatly.How nice it is to have a "pen pal" !

我在网上认识了一个叫苏的女孩。我们的年龄差不多，很谈得来，所以就约好天天通信联系，当然是用电子邮件了。我们把自己一天的生活和所感所想记录下来，然后发给对方看，就像写日记一样。我们还试着用英文通信，她曾经跟爸爸妈妈在美国呆过几年，所以能讲纯正的英语。这样，不但我们的友谊越来越深了，而且我们的英语水平和写作能力也有了很大的提高。有这样个“笔友”真好!

The first day of high school life, I have some thoughts and feelings. The passage of time can always give people some special things.

在高中生活的第一天，我有一些想法和感受。随着时间的推移总是可以给人一些特别的东西。

In the new environment, I feel a bit excited. Be able to recognize the new students and teachers is my greatest gains. In the next three years, we will learn、work and progress together to make our dreams come true. I will have new friends, and share the joy and sadness with them. The process of learning is also a growing process.

在新的环境，我感到有点兴奋。能够识别新的学生和教师是我的收获。在未来3年，我们将共同学习，工作，进步，使我们的梦想成真。我也会有新朋友，并分享他们的喜悦和悲伤。学习也是一个成长的过程。

Similarly, I will also face many difficulties. I might have difficulties in learning and getting along with classmates , bearing some pressure in life. However, I will get stronger and get through every step of high school three years.

同样，我也将面临许多困难。我可能有学习困难和获得与同学一起，结出了一些在生活中的压力。不过，我会坚强地度过高中三年的每一步。

August 24,2012 Tuesday

I went to visit the Great Wall with my friends during the summer vacation. We went there by bus. It took us about two hours to get there. It was hot and windy that day. There were thousands of people. When we saw a group of foreigners,we went up and talked with them. We told them lots of history of the Great Wall. They were very surprised when they saw that our English were exellent and we knew a lot about the Great Wall's history. They thanked us a lot and we really had a good time. We felt proud of ourselves and being Chinese.

我和我的朋友在夏令营期间去了长城，我们是乘汽车去的，经过两个小时才到的那儿。那天天气很热，风也很大，那里有很多很多的人，当我们看到一群外国人的时候，我们上去和他们攀谈。我们告诉他们很多关于长城的故事，他们非常惊讶我们的英语是如此的好，而且我们还懂那么多关于长城的故事。他们非常感谢我们，而我们也度过了愉快的一天。我们为自己是一名中国人而感到很自豪。

It is a special day today. My mother sent one hundred basket of red bayberries. I like to eat red bayberries. It tastes nice. When they arrived in Shanghai, they were still fresh. But most of them would be sent to my mother's business friends. I chose the best basket of red bayberries to eat. I put the rest in my refrigerator. Red bayberry is my hometown's special product. It is well-known in china. Many people like to eat it.
