Listen to yourself.
Slow down!
Picture it.
Get physical! 你发this, thank, they,和little, wool等单词困难吗?
You should say:
what it was
when you saw it
what you knew about it
and explain why you liked it
It was a mural painted on the side of an old building downtown I saw many years ago, and I knew the painter from my childhood.
I liked it for many reasons. One was that the creator had been a neighbour of mine when we were kids. He was always drawing with chalk on the streets, on his driveway or the side of his house. I remember thinking one day he may be famous! It made me happy to know he now was, as this painting had been authorized by the local government in order to bring attention to a new facility being built nearby.
I liked the wonderful colours he used on the plain, brown brick building. This old part of the city had been drab and decaying for years. William's mural, full of reds, yellows and bright blues created a brand new environment which gave renewed life to the area designed to attract a younger generation downtown.
I also enjoyed the message this painting expressed to those who saw it which was "old styles can be re-born", exactly the theme of the new development being built.
Finally, I really got a kick out of seeing my long-time friend's name at the bottom of this awesome mural, and knowing that many others who passed by would now know his name and appreciate his ability to be so creative. I was very proud of him and his dedication to his love of painting.
Describe a recent change of you最近的改变
You should say:
what it was
when caused it
what do you do for the change
and explain how do you feel about it
would like to talk about the time I first moved to Changsha for college. It’s one of the major changes in my life till now I have to say.
Firstly, I was born in the north of China. We have drier winter, while Changsha, which is a southern city is probably the most humid city in the world. The constant rain is killing me. And the food in Changsha is too spicy and salty for me. I am not used to having too many spices and chili in the food. Also, I can’t really understand the local language.
Besides, college study is totally different from high school study, including in study methods and subjects. For example, you don’t have anyone to supervise you or motivate you on your own things. You can only rely on yourself.
Another significant change for me is the living environment. I used to live with my parents and have my own room, while in college, I have to live with 5 other girls in a small dormitory. We even don’t have a private bathroom.It’s utterly inconvenient when you have to share the bathroom with so many other people, like more than 70 people.
To conclude, I am still adapting myself to the new environment and the new life. Like people always say, we’ll have to embrace the change.
You should say:
– What is the song about?
– When did you first hear the song?
– Why is it your favorite?
Honestly speaking, for the most part, I would probably say that I have a great passion for listening to music and indeed I have listened like thousands of songs so far. However, if I have to pick out a song that I like the most, I would probably choose the song Million Years Ago by Adele. By gorgeous lyrics and melody, it’s like a piece of cake for Adele to make me addicted to this song. A significant feature that I should mention is the song’s meaningful content. It is a regretful calling inside an adult who has born his soul on the way of growing up and earning his stripes. Every now and then I feel he is so desperate that he could do anything to escape the cycle of his life but after all he can’t afford to do so. The reason why I am so fond of this song has something to do with the fact that it provokes so many beautiful memories from my childhood. Although this song is a sad song, it opens my eyes to many things in life, one of them is that you should not take anything for granted, even the simplest one, try to live to your fullest so that one day you would not have to regret that much about the journey that you have been through. Fairly speaking, Million Years Ago is a really good songs for self – reflecting especially when you find yourself lost in the super busy world nowadays.
雅思口语part2新题范文: a helpful person at work/school
You should say:
who he or she is;
when and where he or she helped you;
how he or she helped you;
and explain how you felt about his or her help.
When I was a primary school student, I met my first English teacher, Amy. She helped me a lot in forming learning habits, and I should attribute my interest in learning English to her encouragement. I still remembered that when I was a child, my mother told me that English was very essential whatever I want to be in the future, so in my first English class, I listened to the teacher very carefully. Amy noticed that I was very concentrated, so she asked me to answer her question in class. At first, I was very nervous because I was not confident to speak English out and afraid of being made fun of by my classmates. But she encouraged me to speak loudly, and praised my courage. After class, she told me that my pronunciation was very good, and asked me whether I wanted to be the English host for the upcoming English Recitation Contest. At that moment, I felt very proud of myself, and meanwhile, I was more strict with myself in learning English because I didn't want to disappoint her. Also, she gave me some helpful advice on pronunciation and hosting skill, and the contest turned out to be a success.
So far, I still have contact with Amy. I know, without her constant encouragement and illuminating instruction's I will have no such enthusiasm for learning English.
